Joe Dean has over 30 years experience in the game of golf and for the last 10 years has lived and worked on the Costa Blanca in the Alicante Area, Joe also writes regular articles in several of the local newspapers and magazines. He is also involved with a local golf society as a committee member controlling that difficult aspect of handicaps. In recent years he has developed a strong Junior Academy which at the moment numbers more than forty members (girls and boys) aged from 6 to 16 years, with several of them winning major honours in some of the most prestigious competitions in Spain. A Junior Acadamy student, Ryan (Raz) Vincent age 17, won category 2 in one of the most prestigious competitions on the Spanish National Amateur calendar, the CONDE DE BARCELONA. Ryan played extremely well on Saturday finishing 11 under par and was first round leader in category 2. After having his handicap severely adjusted downwards Ryan found the final round on Sunday a little more difficult winning by 1 shot. Ryan also won the same category last year. Ryan Sullivan aged 14 who played well enough to make the cut but unfortunately was unable to get into the prizes. Joe is committed to teaching the game of golf in a warm and relaxed environment, where the emphasis, is on the students enjoying, as well as learning, during their classes. Through his hard work and dedication to his profession Joe has been rewarded by being appointed, Teaching Professional at Real Club De Golf Campoamor. He is the only English resident teaching professional at a Spanish club in the local area. |
